Jovan + Emily are like two peas in a pod. Not only can they make each other laugh, make light of any situation, but they’re also high school sweethearts (like us!)

We met up on an overcast May day for their engagement session at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, and although we did get slightly drizzled on, you would never know it from the photographs (or their attitudes!)

Location plays a HUGE role in an Engagement Session’s success. Not only do you want a spot that has gorgeous scenery, but you also want it to mean something to the couple! I always find myself asking why our couples choose their locations (the answer is normally their wedding venue), but Jovan + Emily decided to go back to the spot where they got engaged! And little did I know, the second spot I chose at Lewis Ginter was actually the spot where Jovan got down on one knee!!
