When we first met Maggie + Joe a few months ago, Matthew + I knew instantly that we were going to have so much fun being part of their big day! We’re all from the same small town just outside of Richmond + we’re so thankful for this because it allowed us to photograph their engagement session locally, as well as meet up a few times before the wedding to work out some last minute details!
Leading up to their big day it had been raining for what felt like forever (now, I’m not quite talking about the whole 40 days + 40 nights scenario, but you get the idea). The morning of the wedding, we woke up to sunshine. But, we shouldn’t have let it fool us! On the way to the venue it started to pour + then mist. BUT as we were driving Maggie to the venue, the SUN finally came out and stayed out for good! It lead to the prettiest wedding weather to date!
This wedding had been a long time coming + I’m so OVERJOYED for the newlyweds, Mr. + Mrs. Beall! A huge thank you to Maggie + Joe, their friends, and family for making us feel at home throughout the wedding day!!
Maggie had a GORGEOUS entrance into her wedding!
They decided to read each other vows they wrote + they were SO powerful!
The sand ceremony has definitely become a popular tradition at weddings + I’m so glad Maggie and Joe decided to partake!
The kiss that sealed the deal!
These girls were so much fun to work with!
AHH! We just HAD to sneak in a few bridal portraits for Maggie!
When you’re couple doesn’t hesitate one little bit about going out on the sketchy boat dock- SCORE!
I mean look at their cake. Isn’t it gorgeous?
A magical first dance!
The daddy- daughter dance had me in TEARS! I mean seriously, it was so moving!
The aftermath from smashing cake in each others faces!
Maggie texted me about wanting to incorporate some of their engagement session pictures at their wedding + we were able to order these gorgeous prints from the amazing Miller’s Print Lab!
One of my absolute favorite parts of the wedding day. When you’re couples are completely willing to sneak away at golden hour for more pictures!!
Even when it’s still light outside, why not do a sparkler exit?
More of our golden hour getaway!
And to end the evening, Maggie + Joe shared the sweetest last dance song!
Joe shared a sweet short dance with his sister at the end of the night as well!
